Fall Leaves Sensory Project

With the fall weather comes the beautiful changes of the leaves! Work with your littles to create a fall art project!

1. Go outside and collect different color leaves. 2. Trace your littles hand and work with them to cut it out. 3. Glue the hand onto a new sheet of paper. 4. Glue the leaves you found around your new tree.

This is a great way to practice communication with a first this, then that strategy. Example, first we will get leaves. Then we will trace our hands. You can also incorporate scissor cutting skills and use the search for leaves to ask your child to skip, jump, run, etc.

Within this one project you can incorporate developmental skills that our speech, occupational, and physical therapists use daily.
